With just 6 weeks and less than a handful of days to the wedding, i seriously need to get my little tushy into gear. I have looked and looked and looked at ceremonies and run sheets and all that jazz, but i just can't get one made up for my own ceremony. No matter how hard i look at it and try to piece things together, i CANNOT get any semblance of order. I need help. Serious help. The expensive kind.
There's so many things to consider.....
Pre-ceremony music
Processional music
Will my dad give me away, or will dad AND mum give me away OR will BOTH sets of parents gives us to eachother?
Will i have my veil over my face?
Will dad lift it off? Or will Luke?
What hymns will we sing?
Will our pastor give a little sermon? If so, how long?
How will the vows work?
Register signing music
Recessional music
Is is too late to elope?
I am glad my wedding has been and gone!! LOL
ReplyDelete• Feel-good music that you both love
ReplyDelete• Summer Rain by Paul Kelly
• Both sets of parents
• Yes
• Luke
• Great is thy faithfulness & your fave new worship song
• Yes. Short
• Pick what you like, write them out and read them on the day
• Anna says, "Toot Kugga Big Wed Car" and Veggie Tales. Don't listen to her.
• Something Beautiful by Newsboys
Hope that helps.
(Sorry - I was kidding of course, You choose. It's not too late to elope, but really, with friends like me, you don't need to. And Taz would miss out on being the bridesmaid.)
haha i like Anna's song suggestions, Givinya :)
ReplyDeletei personally like the idea of both sets of parents giving you both away.... :-)
and yes.... I wil sing for you during the register signing..... :) i know you've been wanting to ask me but you havent wanted to overwhelm me with my bridesmaid-y duties.... but it's ok, i consider it a priveledge :)
Hope it all comes together. Didn't mean to be mean to you on
ReplyDeleteGivinya's blog. sorry.

ReplyDeletehahahaha!!! Givinya, you are pure gold! Tell Anna that her suggestions have been put into our list of possibilities :)Your Hymn suggestion is fantastic though :) I love that one.
ReplyDeleteSwift Jan, i think i'll be glad when it's all over with too :) As much as it's exciting and i'm excited, sometimes the stress is just too much.
Taz - Both parents is the option we are leaning towards. And your offer of singing will be taken under consideration. However, i wouldn't want to upset the aesthetics by having you step out of place to sing. I need all my bridesmaids and all the groomsmen to be together for symmetry :)
Jen - No worries, you didn't know that i knew Givinya and her family, and your point was made from that respect, no harm done :)
