Why "Lindethiel's Melody" and "Under a swift sunrise"?

I have always been an avid reader. My parents tell me that I was reading novels by the time i was 8 years old. I remember spending many lunchtimes in the school library and many afternoons at the public library. And so, I wanted my blog to somehow reflect that little part of me.

So I thought long and hard about what to call my blog, and the answer was so obvious. Tolkien. He is my favourite author and his work is the epitomy of fantasy writing. I first fell in love with The Lord of The Rings when I was 10 years old and my dad gave me his First Edition copy. I still have it and it is among some of my most treasured possesions.

That's where my URL and my Blog name comes from. Lindethiel is the Elvish translation of Melody, which is the english meaning of my real name.

"Under a swift sunrise" is part of my favourite quote from the trilogy. As a hopeless romantic, I spend many hours dreaming of sunrises and sunsets.
